Written to describe how Reelgate actually works, not by a lawyer. It has not been through legal review and is not a binding agreement. Have counsel review it before you rely on it.

Reelgate sets no advertising cookies

There is no advertising network, no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics script on any Reelgate page. Every cookie below exists because something would not work without it.

Signing in

Supabase sets a pair of cookies (names beginning sb-) holding your session. They are what keep you signed in between page loads. Removing them signs you out.

Watching a video

Opening a share link sets one cookie per link, named rg_ws_ followed by part of the link's address. It holds an opaque token — no email, no identity — and it is what lets the server recognise your session so the owner can stop it. It is HttpOnly, so no script can read it, and it expires after twelve hours.

Language

Choosing English or Arabic stores that choice so the next page loads in the same language.

Refusing them

Blocking cookies for this site will stop you signing in and stop share links opening, because the session has nowhere to live. There is nothing here to opt out of separately: none of them are used for advertising or profiling.
